Rhyl Walkabout July 2022

A mixed bunch from my July walkabout, including the new Zip Wire – Balloon attraction being setup next to the beach and the 1891 Bar & Restaurant

“Based on the stunning sunny Rhyl coast, Zip World Rhyl is home to Skyflyer, the world’s only sight-seeing experience of its kind, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views, hovering 140m – 400ft in the air on our balloon airship. Alongside Skyflyer, we have Big Red, a mini side-by-side zip lining adventure, perfect for families, friends and couples. Keep your feet firmly on the ground and enjoy a spot to eat at the 1891 restaurant and bar, located inside the Pavilion, where you can watch the adventure unfold. With nearby parking and stunning views of the North Wales coast, this is the perfect spot to lose a couple of hours”

BIG RED features two side-by-side lines, making it perfect for friends and family to race each other to the end. The zip wires are suspended 30 feet high, and are located parallel to the Skyflyer airship.

Rhyl Walkabout March/April

Not much of a walkabout this week what with the bad weather and home commitments, It was really cold and windy, I decided to try some long exposure photography, mainly because my hands were so cold I could hardly feel the camera controls, unfortunately I took my skinny travel tripod instead of my normal landscape tripod, which didn’t help keeping the camera steady 🙄

here is what i manged to get

Day Out In Rhyl 2022

My first day out of 2022 found me staying local and going for a 2.5 hour walk while a carer sitting service was with my Dad.

Changeable weather for the coast of north Wales as usual, here are a few of the snaps of the day from the lone kitesurfer braving the elements at #Rhyl beach, the RNLI Rhyl Lifeboat Station one of the busiest stations in Wales to the Foryd Harbour which has undergone a dramatic refurbishment in recent years and ending at Horton’s Nose Nature Reserve
