The theme of this week’s photo challenge is A Good Match

Mountain Train
A good match for the not so fit – The Snowdon Mountain Railway is a narrow gauge rack and pinion mountain railway in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. It is a tourist railway that travels for 4.7 miles from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales.

Wolseley Motors

Vintage Military Transport
A good match of Military transport. The C-47 Dakota was manufactured in the USA by Douglas in March 1942 and initially issued to the United States Army Air Force. In September that year the aircraft was transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and served in Canada during World War Two.   1. Let’s see, if I could be any of these places…where would it be? Hmm. Number one would have to be on the train to the summit of Snowdon Mountain. Are there hiking trails to the top? Have you been?

    Love your photos of the iron bridge too.

    • Thank you Marian, yes plenty of trails up to the summit, only way up in the winter as the train can’t get past all the snow, I’ve only been up twice, first time you couldn’t see more than about 5 feet and rained all day lol. I lived in ironbridge for nearly 10 years
