Victory is arriving at the top of Snowdon the highest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) above sea level, and the highest point in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is located in Snowdonia National Park and has been described as probably the busiest mountain in Britain.
The obelisk at Bwlch Glas this significant rock was erected by the National Park to mark where the Pyg track leaves the Llanberis path. It should be tall enough to remain visible above most snow drifts, Snowdon north Wales, UK The zigzag path leads down to the merging paths of The Pyg Track and the Miners Track above Glaslyn lake and Llydaw lake
Panorama Snowdon – Yr Wyddfa in Welsh – is the highest mountain in Wales at 3560 feet (1085 metres) above sea level. Designed by Ray Hole and funded by Welsh Assembly Government, Snowdonia National Park, The Welsh Tourist Board, The European Union, Snowdon Mountain Railway and Public Subscription, Hafod Eryri rose like a phoenix from the ashes of the old building and was opened to the public in June 2009. Today guests of the railway are welcomed in to a modern contemporary environment clad in welsh oak and granite with wonderful views from our panoramic windows to the valleys below .With large screen information points , an engraved floor and whispering windows the designers are keen for visitors to experience a true sense of place. The building houses both catering and retail outlets and also serves the walking community after their climb to the summit of the principality. With a good range of hand held cakes and hot savouries and a full range of hot and cold drinks Hafod Eryri, the highest re-fuelling station in England and Wales. It receives on average half a million visitors a year.
The Snowdon Mountain Railway is a narrow gauge rack and pinion mountain railway in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. It is a tourist railway that travels for 4.7 miles from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon, the highest peak in England and Wales.

Lake Teyrn sits on the popular miners path up to Mount Snowdon past the higher lake Llydaw – the largest and deepest lake on Snowdons flanks, is crossed by a causeway at its eastern end. The zigzag path on the left leads down to the merging paths of The Pyg Track (above) and Miners Track (below) above lake Glaslyn. Crib Goch peak is visible at the middle left.
